Samsung is the New No.1 beating Nokia

Samsung beats Nokia to become No.1 mobile manufacturing company after 14 years.

Samsung Mobile has started living upto its tag line “NEXT IS WHAT” by becoming largest selling mobile company after 14 long years of Nokia’s rule. Suwon(South Korea) based mobile manufacturer has topped the list of highest number of shipments for the first quarter of 2012 beating Nokia by a margin of 8 million handsets. Nokia could only manage around 83 million handset shipments where as Samsung shipped around 92 million handsets. Apple is way behind with just 35 million shipments.

Nokia has been the No.1 since 1998 when it took over from Motorola. Research says that Samsung could be No.1 till last quarter of 2012, but the last quarter could belong to Nokia again. Let’s wait and see NEXT IS WHAT in the last quarter.
